First there was light. Now we have blogging. Hmm.
Anyway, hello. I’m Washii. I had a prior blog up on Blogger, but I felt a little too constrained by it. So now, I have this blog that I can get quite a few more themes and plugins for, along with modifying and creating others.
I’m rather looking forward to having this one. This will probably get a bit more indepth with my own random topics and such, past my Blogger blog, which was more just learnings from school.
I should probably introduce myself a little more. I’m a Computer Information Services major, likely graduating with a Bachelors of Science by Christmas 2007. I’m looking forward to becoming a Systems Admin, Network Admin or possibly internal Tech Support for a technology company (Microsoft, Google, et. al). I do actually enjoy a lot of the coding problems presented, but that has never really been my passion.
What I love is to troubleshoot, fix, put together, upgrade, take apart and re-build various computer systems. My main experiences are on Windows (of which XP and 2000 have likely been the best of the best for Windows) and a little foray into Linux, which I’m attempting to work on little by little. I’ve been an admin for a Mac OS X-based Art Lab at my university, which could be used for: editing photos, creating and editting movies, composing music, and a lot of other things. It’s nice to have the Unix under-layer in Mac, but I much prefer working inside of Linux, as it seems to have a lot less hassle than the Mac’s Unix sub-systems. Oh, and multi-tasking seems a bit more fluid to me on Windows and Linux (especially across multiple instances of the same applications).
